What exactly is Palazzetti’s Hybrid Technology? We will find out today through my personal experience: how to go from a retailer to a fire.
I’m visiting my favourite retailer; to be honest, he’s not really mine because I have never owned a stove of any type, neither wood-burning nor pellet.
Anyway, the time has come for me to buy a stove. But I don’t know which one to choose.
I really don’t know whether I should choose a super technological pellet stove or a very traditional wood-burning one. As far as I know, technology means pellets and tradition means wood. But I obviously don’t know much about it.
I want a stove, but I want it to be modern. I also want the smell of wood and a warm house when I get back home; I want futuristic technology and the beautiful sight of a crackling log fire ….. Lots of ideas, no certainties, except that I definitely know that I want it to be environmentally friendly (and affordable to run).
These demands tell me I have to go to a store that specialises in stoves. I really need the advice of an expert; I really would like a stove that fulfils all my dreams.
To make a long story short, this is what happened: I walked into the shop and some of the stoves were lit: on the right I could see pellet stoves with remote controls in full view while the wood stoves were on the left…..what a beautiful fire! I fell in love but started to look to the right, then to the left and to the right again……I really didn’t know what to choose!

I asked for more information: how do I switch fuels? All you need is your finger and some fuel ready to use. I can switch off the fan to enjoy the silence of my home and the crackling sound of the firewood, as if I had a fireplace. I also found out that I can choose a firebox with the same Hybrid Technology and then customise it with my favourite cladding.
Let’s go back to the Hugo stove that attracted by attention in the first place. It can be remote controlled: from my office, my sofa or even from a different hemisphere. Are you serious? I can’t believe it.
It goes without saying that I wanted to take the showroom stove home with me. They wouldn’t let me and they were perfectly right: it’s just not done. A Palazzetti engineer will come to my house and install it for me.
So, here I am waiting from him to arrive. My appointment is this morning. Everything’s ready: I am for sure! I can’t wait for my fire, my savings, my comfort, my tradition and my technology, all at the touch of a finger. All in one.
