Are you planning a summer garden party? Whether it’s a brunch, a kid’s party or a dinner party, the most important thing is to make sure it is original.

Here are a few ideas to inspire you: get ready for an unforgettable Garden Party!

VegaooParty, eHow and Pizzazzerie ideas.

How to decorate your Garden Party

If you’ve already read our tips on how to recycle glass jars and on the most interesting outdoor lamps, you probably already have a few ideas in mind.

This summer’s trends are mainly based on three themes: vintagefloral compositions and the jungle style.

You can use a white lacquered trolley like the one shown above to serve sweets, small snacks or drinks. Why not rent a 50s style ice-cream cart? Lots of ice-cream parlours have been offering this service lately: definitely instagrammable!

Original ideas for garden parties

The BBQ is obviously the main attraction of any successful garden party, but how about finger food and first courses?

Bruschetta is always an excellent idea: you can toast your bread directly on your  barbecue grill and then add your favourite topping. Make sure everyone is happy by including vegetarian alternatives to your menu.

Don’t forget your youngest guests:prepare some mini hamburgers for them using small buns. You can easily bake them yourself at home in a muffin pan!

You don’t want your bowls of cold pasta or rice salad to be continuously handed around with the risk of getting knocked over? Why don’t you prepare single portions that you can hand to your guests already divided up into glass jars?!

Original garden party cocktails

What would a garden party be without a glass in your hand? It doesn’t make much of a difference whether it contains a smoothie or a cocktail, although you can never go wrong with a good Prosecco or an ice-cold beer! But, if your goal is to throw an original party that stands out from all the rest, choose an alcoholic or non-alcoholic cocktail.

The important thing is that it is fresh, based on seasonal fruit or vegetables. We have chosen three really inviting recipes we would like to tempt you with by publishing the photos above:

  • Belvedere Cucumber Spritz (House & Garden) with vodka, dry white vermouth, cucumber, sparkling water and tonic water.
  • Wild Rose Sangria (Feasting at Home) with rosé wine, rose syrup, elderberry syrup, rose petals and fresh mint leaves.
  • Cocktail Rosa (Charme and More) with pink grapefruit, vodka (or gin), honey, lemon, rosemary and water.
